I kicked depression in the nuts temporarily and got off my ass and illustrated a human version of my fic Megatron Prime.  It took me three days in between crying in bed to draw this.  Zero regrets for this artwork because even in you think humanised Transformers or illustrating fanfic is stupid, you have to admit this is badass.
Here’s a super big version if you want to drink in the detail.
In a humanoid version, Megatron Prime would be renamed Kerazos Dux, so that’s what’s with the filename.  Keraizo κεραΐζω was “to destroy” in an ancient Greek dialect which I thought would be clever to retool The Fallen’s name because linguistics.  I based Megatron’s / Kerazos’ clothing on Byzantine military officer’s dress and his accoutrement on a Myrmillo gladiator, and Starscream’s / Sathai’s clothes on juunihitoe Japanese court clothes.  Of course the problem here is you can’t see the front of Starscream’s kimono, and the figure posing is largely hiding the gladius and shield Megatron is holding.  Byzantine Greek dress and Heian Japanese dress were both known for their richly patterned cloth, and the Byzantines liked to have patterned borders.  Technically in this altverse neither figures are human ; they’re both therapsids.  But no one cares about that so I’ll shut up and let you enjoy the art.

i forgot to reblog this last night so i am doing this now because FUCK THIS IS SO GORGEOUS
